Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 11, 2026
This policy applies to all pages and tools on toolsracks.com. Please read it carefully. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. Overview
ToolsRacks ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://toolsracks.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Where possible, our tools process your data entirely within your browser so that it never reaches our servers. For tools that require a backend call (e.g., image compression, DNS lookup, document conversion), data is processed transiently and is not retained after your request completes.
2. Information We Collect
2a. Information you provide voluntarily
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
2b. Automatically collected information
When you visit the Site, our servers and third-party analytics services may automatically record:
- IP address (anonymized where required by applicable law)
- Browser type, version, and language
- Operating system and device type
- Pages visited, time on page, and navigation path
- Referring URL (the page that linked you here)
- Date and time of each visit
This information is collected in aggregate and is used to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. It is not used to personally identify individual users.
2c. Tool input and output data
Content you enter into or upload to our tools (text, images, files, URLs) is processed to produce the result you request. For browser-only tools (Word Counter, Password Generator, JSON Formatter, Base64 Encoder, Age Calculator, QR Code Generator, Barcode Generator, CSV to JSON, Calculator), all processing happens on your device using JavaScript — your data is never sent to our servers.
For tools that require a server call (Image Compressor, Image Resizer, Image Converter, IP Lookup, DNS Checker, SSL Checker, Plagiarism Checker, Word to PDF, PDF to Word, Website Speed Test), your input data is transmitted securely over HTTPS to our backend service for processing. We do not log, store, or analyse the content of these uploads or queries after your request is complete.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing and improving our services: To deliver the tool functionality you request, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
- Analytics and performance monitoring: To understand which tools are most popular, how users navigate the Site, and where we can improve the user experience.
- Displaying advertisements: To show relevant ads via Google AdSense that help fund the free operation of the Site.
- Responding to inquiries: To reply to messages sent through our contact form or by email.
- Preventing abuse: To detect and prevent automated misuse, scraping, or attacks on our backend APIs.
- Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations, including responding to lawful requests from public authorities.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdSense — Google Privacy Policy
- Cloudflare (CDN & DDoS protection) — Cloudflare Privacy Policy
These third parties may set their own cookies or collect information about you when you use the Site. We do not control the content or privacy practices of these services. Links to external websites on the Site are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
6. Data Retention
We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months to facilitate follow-up and to comply with our legal obligations, after which they are securely deleted. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely in de-identified form. Tool input and output data is not retained after your request is fulfilled — it exists only in memory for the duration of processing.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal information where we have no legitimate reason to continue processing it.
- Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data for direct marketing or where we rely on legitimate interests.
- Right to data portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Right to restrict processing: Request that we limit the use of your personal data under certain circumstances.
- California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at toolsracks@gmail.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at toolsracks@gmail.com and we will delete that information promptly.
9. Data Security
We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We use security headers including HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), Content Security Policy, and X-Content-Type-Options to reduce common web vulnerabilities. While we take these precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
ToolsRacks operates globally. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of information to these countries. Where required by applicable law (e.g., GDPR), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
