ToolsRacks ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website https://toolsracks.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding your information. By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Where possible, our tools process your data entirely within your browser so that it never reaches our servers. For tools that require a backend call (e.g., image compression, DNS lookup, document conversion), data is processed transiently and is not retained after your request completes.

2a. Information you provide voluntarily

When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we receive your name, email address, and the content of your message. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry and do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

2b. Automatically collected information

When you visit the Site, our servers and third-party analytics services may automatically record:

• IP address (anonymized where required by applicable law)
• Browser type, version, and language
• Operating system and device type
• Pages visited, time on page, and navigation path
• Referring URL (the page that linked you here)
• Date and time of each visit

This information is collected in aggregate and is used to understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. It is not used to personally identify individual users.

2c. Tool input and output data

Our tools fall into two groups, and the difference matters. The list below is exhaustive and is kept in step with the tools actually published on the Site.

Tools that run entirely in your browser — nothing is transmitted to us

Word Counter, Upwork Text Formatter, LinkedIn Text Formatter, Password Generator, QR Code Generator, Barcode Generator, JSON Formatter, Regex Tester, Base64 Encoder/Decoder, CSV to JSON, Age Calculator, Calculators, Robots.txt Generator & Tester, Meta Tag Generator, .htaccess Redirect Generator, Cron Expression Parser, and Markdown to HTML Converter.

For these tools your input is processed on your own device with JavaScript. It is never uploaded, logged or seen by us, and it does not leave your browser even in error reports.

Tools that send your input to our server

Image Compressor, Image Resizer, Image Converter, Word to PDF, PDF to Word, Plagiarism Checker, DNS Checker, SSL Certificate Checker, IP Address Lookup, and Website Speed Test.

For these tools your input (an image, a document, a domain name, an IP address, a URL or a block of text) is transmitted over HTTPS to our backend, held in memory or in a temporary working directory only for as long as the conversion or lookup takes, and discarded once the response is returned. We do not retain, index or analyse the content of these uploads or queries.

Tools that additionally pass your input to a named third party

• Plagiarism Checker — sampled sentences from your text or PDF are sent to the Tavily web search API in order to look for matching public pages. Do not submit confidential material.
• IP Address Lookup — the address you enter is sent to the ip-api.com geolocation service. If you leave the field blank, your browser first asks api.ipify.org for your public IP address so that it can be looked up.
• Website Speed Test — the URL you enter is submitted to the Google PageSpeed Insights API, which loads and audits that page.
• DNS Checker — alongside the DNS lookup, the domain is queried against the public RDAP registry servers for .com, .net and .org to retrieve registrar and registration dates.
• SSL Certificate Checker — our server opens a TLS connection directly to the domain you enter. No third-party service is involved, but the domain owner may see the connection in their logs.

We use the following categories of cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site:

3a. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site to function correctly. They do not collect personal information and cannot be disabled. They include session management and security tokens.

3b. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga, _ga_*) to distinguish users and track sessions. We have enabled IP anonymization. The data collected includes page views, session duration, device type, and traffic sources.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

3c. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. Google AdSense and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. These cookies allow Google to personalise the ads shown to you.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our Site and/or other sites on the internet. • Responding to inquiries: To reply to messages sent through our contact form or by email.
• Preventing abuse: To detect and prevent automated misuse, scraping, or attacks on our backend APIs.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

The Site integrates the following third-party services, each of which has its own privacy policy:

• Cloudflare (CDN & DDoS protection) — Cloudflare Privacy Policy
• Tavily — web search API used only by the Plagiarism Checker, and only for the sentences sampled from a document you submit.
• ip-api.com and api.ipify.org — IP geolocation and public IP detection, used only by the IP Address Lookup tool.
• Google PageSpeed Insights API — used only by the Website Speed Test to audit the URL you submit.
• Cloudinary — image hosting for images published on our blog. It does not process anything you enter into a tool.

The services in the last four entries are used only when you actively run the specific tool named. They are not loaded on other pages and receive nothing from ordinary browsing.

These third parties may set their own cookies or collect information about you when you use the Site. We do not control the content or privacy practices of these services. Links to external websites on the Site are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

We retain contact form submissions for up to 12 months to facilitate follow-up and to comply with our legal obligations, after which they are securely deleted. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely in de-identified form. Tool input and output data is not retained after your request is fulfilled — it exists only in memory for the duration of processing.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
• Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal information where we have no legitimate reason to continue processing it.

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the European Union). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We use security headers including HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), Content Security Policy, and X-Content-Type-Options to reduce common web vulnerabilities. While we take these precautions, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

ToolsRacks operates globally. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, including the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer of information to these countries. Where required by applicable law (e.g., GDPR), we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international data transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
